prednisone, day 5

Seriously... this 5 day course of prednisone was just a waste of my time.  I took my last dose today, but I also started back up on the ibuprofen.  Ulcers be damned.  I slept in my CEP compression calf sleeves and then took the left one off this morning and walked around with just the right one one to see if maybe somehow it supported some ligament that's connected to the sore ones and would help me feel better.  I think any relief I felt was psychosomatic.  But whatevs....

I was in a better mood today regarding my sore foot, and I was pretty productive.  I put a pork roast in the crock pot at noon for supper.

I worked a little bit on a pair of socks I'm knitting.  The pattern is called Sleepy Hollow.  The yarn is Knit Picks Tonal blend in foliage. Which I now notice is not available... but it'd be close to Harvest I'm sure.

And that is probably the worst picture I could have taken of them but it's late and I'm lazy.

I baked two loaves of bread, and I realized when I cut them that I am REALLY outta practice with the bread baking.  It's been probably almost a year since I've made my own loaves.  they taste phenomenal, but the texture was a little off and they didn't rise as high.  And I'm probably the only one that thought they could be better.  The rest of the crazies in this house wolfed it down.

And then... I started working on the closet project in my bedroom.  Ok... I have a closet... but it's like... under the stairs and dark and awkward and so thus a lot of our clothes are still in bins on the floor.  I'm kinda embarrassed to show what it has looked like for the last 7 months.

You can see the doorway to the closet on the right there...

I picked up an 8 ft closet system from Lowe's this afternoon.  4ft for my room, 4 ft for Cal and Tay's room (they have a nice closet but an abundance of clothes... and would rather use their closet as a little hangout area since it's pretty deep and the ceiling slopes pretty low towards the back.  I'm sure that I will have to add more feet to their system though...

I've been wanting to paint the room green, and I figured I'd make it easier on myself if I painted that wall before installing the closet system.  That way, I wouldn't have to take the shelves and such down later.  So... I got to work.

This is after the first coat.   I only had the little sample jar of paint color so I tried to stretch it pretty thin.  I painted as high as I could reach. I figured that I wouldn't install it higher than that anyway.

Until I read the directions and found out I'm supposed to install the support bracket thingee at 86.5" off the floor.

Ooops... looks like I'll have to take the top shelf and rod down anyway.  That's what it looks like now.  By the time I got this far... all four of my littles were home... and sitting on my bed... and wrastling... while eating popcorn... so I called it a night and shoo'd everyone out to finish watching Toy Story 3.

Last night on pinterest (might have even been this morning because I was awake from 4:30-6:30... the dogs woke me up with their whining and barking and then I couldn't get back to sleep) I pinned a trillion yummy looking desserts.  All day long I've wanted a carmelly ooey gooey cookie dough concoction.  THEN Katie from runsforcookies.com posted a picture of her post run treat on Instagram:

Good god I want one so bad... and I don't even really care for chocolate.  I might have to stop at the bakery or something tomorrow!!
