This last month has just literally FLOWN by for me. Between school starting back up and me reverting back to working full time, it has taken me this long to adjust.
I started back up with running again last week. I have done 3 runs so far, a 2 miler, a 3 miler, and a 4 miler. All very humbling experiences. Wow, one loses fitness quickly! I kind of felt like I got my running mojo back at about mile 3 of the 4 miler, so I'm grateful for that. I'm not so grateful about the little bit of achiness I started to feel in my foot about a half hour after that 4 miler yesterday. It still aches a bit today every once in a while. I'm no longer 100% on doing the half marathon on October 26. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.
So besides school starting, this last month we attended a wedding (half of us were in the wedding party), I did a lot of knitting, put up some Halloween decorations, painted the bedroom, painted an accent wall in the living room, and shampooed the carpet. I guess that doesn't really sound like a lot but this whole working 40 hours a week plus taking care of a household crap kind of gets in the way of any and all creative endeavors. And that includes working out.
Essentially, I'm just tossing this post up here so that I have at least 1 post up for September. I'm toying around with the idea of a regular post schedule and not a "whenever I feel like it" one.
We shall see.
Tomorrow starts a whole new month... a fresh start... a clean slate...
