Whole House Color Scheme - Oct 2013

Before I start planning my next painting project (hint... kitchen), I decided to make a quick collage of the colors that I already have.

1. Olympic Sea Sprite - master bedroom

2. Valspar Dark Kettle Black - bed color, also have a lot of black furniture

3.  Valspar Mercer Blue (Eddie Bauer collection) - upstairs bath, dining room

4. Valspar Sharkfin - accent wall in living room

5. Benjamin Moore Thundercloud Grey - living room, stairwell, and upstairs hallway

The color not pictured is my white... Valspar Ultra White (I think that's what it's called...Anyway... it's the white you'd get if you grabbed a can of paint off of the shelf)

My kitchen will be painted some type of gray... but I'm going to try to get my lighting situation in there worked out before I paint the walls.

There are other colors painted on the walls, but they were here when we moved in and most of it is like a light yellowy beige color.

Halloween Wall Sticker Review

Last Friday, I saw this at Lowe's:

It was only $4 so I figured, why not!?

The price should have been my first clue....

Here's what it looks like all unrolled:

And up on the wall:

I was excited because it looked really neat up on that massive expanse of blank wall above the staircase.

The excited feeling was short lived however.

Within 5 minutes they all started to do this:

Slowly, one by one, they all started to come down. Sad face.

Perhaps it is the paint on that wall (Benjamin Moore in flat) or maybe it's just the lack of stickiness on the stickers but this product was a bust for me.

On Saturday I did have trouble getting the green painter's tape to stick to that same paint so I took one of the stickers that had fallen and tried it on a different wall upstairs and.... It didn't really wanna stick all of the way either.

Oh well. Sometimes you really do get whatcha pay for.

Test mobile post

I just downloaded the iPhone blogger app. The reviews on it were TERRIBLE. So, I just had to see if they were right. Well, right off the bat, I'm already hating on autocorrect. Let's see what happens when I add a picture:

What you should see is a picture of my sweet new phone case. I picked it up on amazon for like $5 and change. It looks like it has a hairdo... But it's really this old peachy artificial plant from like 1990. Updating office decor is apparently not a priority as also evidenced by the dark wood paneling.

One of the reviews I read said that the picture quality is crap when you publish the post. I won't know that for sure until I post (duh).

I definitely don't really like typing on this. So I definitely won't use this for long posts unless I'm really desperate or really bored.

I also don't like that I have to manually scroll down to see what I typing.

Anyway... Let's see what happens when I try to publish...
